The 2h Project- Support for Cambodian Mothers

  • Post author:

The 2h project was seeking funds to purchase five sets of ultra sound equipment that could be used with expectant mothers and babies to help determine their health status and inform medical staff if any intervention was necessary. Given the high infant mortality rate in Cambodia, particularly in rural Cambodia, the project aims to ameliorate that statistic.

In 2024 a particular venture aimed at training  local midwives in different centres in the use of the equipment. The exercise was successfully completed with a view to continue and expand the work of the 2h team.

The West Torrens Rotary Club in conjunction with Prospect and Kent Town clubs successfully applied for a District Grant to provide some funds to assist in the work of “the 2h Project”.
